Nigerian Independence is October 1st. On Friday, September 29th a mini festival will be held at 6pm in Houston, TX. This is the first annual Nigerian Festival in Houston. This year's event will mostly be used as promo for future annual festivals to come.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Assortment of different Nigerian food and refreshments All guests get a red carpet interviews All guests get professional photos taken All guests will have the username and clips of theirselves posted on sites such as (The Shaderoom, Hollywood Unlocked etc) There will be several performances
Although this event is to acknowledge and appreciate Nigerian culture, this event is open to people of Caribbean and African descent. It is an "Invite Only" event. You must be invited and purchase tickets before September 29th. The deadline to purchase tickets is Thursday, Sept 28th at 6pm EST.
TICKET PRICES: $100 per person $400 per group of 5
Because several hundreds of people will be attending, the camera crew asks that there not be more than 30 individuals in the red carpet area at one given time. This event will be broken down into sections, where all guests will have appointment times between 6pm and 11pm. For those coming in groups, you will have the same appointment time.
WARDROBE:
Attire must be formal. Men must wear suits or button up with tie and slacks. Women must be red carpet dressed. Anyone performing will need to come in performance attire, and later change into their red carpet attire.
