Welcome to the official page for all dancers interested in the annual Spring Dance Contest. Below are a list of different dance categories. There are several categories you can choose from. 

The winners for all 4 categories will be announced on these 2 youtube channels. Please subscribe to both. If you are one of the 10 winners and you are not subscribed to both channels, your cash prize will be given to someone else.

There will be 2 categories, where the top 10 winners will win a $1,000 cash prize and there will be 2 categories where the top 10 winners will win a $5,000 cash prize. This means if someone competes in all 4 categories, that person will be competing for a total of  $12,000. Every contestant is required to compete in a minimum of 2 categories, but welcome to do all 4 categories to increase your chances of winning in at least 1 category. 

There will be a total of 150 songs in the contest song list and each contestant will be given a song from the list of 150 songs. This means some people will obviously be dancing to the same song. Whatever song is chosen for you will be used for all categories you choose. For example, if you choose to do a solo tiktok dance and a solo freestyle/choreographed dance, you will use the same song assigned to you for both categories. You are not allowed to use 2 different songs. One assigned song will be used for all categories you compete in.

Everyone who does a GROUP category must all upload on the same day with the exact same hashtags. You may also add hashtags of your own that you normally use on your regular videos. However, there will be a set of hashtags given and it is mandatory that you use those ones provided to you, even if you choose not to add any extra ones of your own. For example, if there are 10 people doing  a group dance then all 10 of you must upload the same exact REEL video of you in the group to both instagram and tiktok. All members of that group must tag everyone in the video. All 10 of you must also use the exact same song and hashtags provided to you. 

For those doing the GROUP dance contests, it is your duty to share the information here with your group members. We will not email them directly. If there are 10 people in your group, you need to let the other 9 individuals know you must all upload on the same day with the song hashtags and it must be a REEL. There can be small group sizes, as little as 2 people in 1 group, but the max per group is 20 dancers.

All dance contestants must upload a REEL video on instagram and tiktok. If your video is not in REEL format, your video will not be used in the contest. Your video will NOT be accepted. If you do not have tiktok, you will need to create one for the contest.

The deadline to upload your videos to instagram and tiktok is May 16. We highly recommend that you do not wait until the last 2 weeks to upload, because the judges will be harder and tougher on those waiting until the last couple weeks to begin uploading, especially for those who have known about the contest for several months prior.

The 2 Solo Dance category prizes: $1,000

The 2 Group Dance category prizes: $5,000 (This amount will be further divided amongst everyone in the group)

If you do a group dance, please try not to have more than 20 people per group. The only way a group of 20 is acceptable is if you are in a dance studio with few people dancing and a large group of people in the background watching. Groups of 20+ people dancing at one time will not be accepted.
